Another interesting company.

Bird Studios, this is a company situated in London. Design, Animation and Visual Effects are the main forays of this group.
It interests me as they have had some very high profile adverts. When I clicked on jobs, the only one available was one in Maya, but I'd have to inquire deeper to find out if they would take people on for work experience.
The 3D element isn't precisely what I'm interested, but company does do storyboards and animatics and that's somewhere I'd like to get a foot in. It says that the animation team is hand picked from thopse with traditional animation training and people with art backgrounds (or graphics, which I do).

Work experience candidates

A couple of years ago I quite enjoyed some late night comedy,animation satire called Monkey Dust. I looked it up on a search engine and found they had a website. I like the style of the imagery on the site and from the programme. There's quite a interesting section on work experience, detailing that you have to send a CV and details in by Post(mark it work experience) .
It states that the experience would only be for 1-2 weeks, though this would be fine for me as I would be able to stay with my family for the duration of this time.

I'd rate this quite highly as an opportunity for some experience, though it does mention they get al ot of applicants, so it may take time to get a placement.
